Rate-regulated Activities Technical Advisory Group Appointments
We are pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to the UKEB’s Rate-regulated Activities Technical Advisory Group (RRA TAG):
Rebecca Band is the Tax Controller at Wales & West Utilities, a regulated gas distribution network. In addition to her reporting and compliance responsibilities for tax, as leader of the revenue and pricing team she is also responsible for regulatory finance submissions to Ofgem alongside her technical accounting role. She has extensive experience in financial, tax, and regulatory reporting. Rebecca is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor; and prior to joining Wales & West Utilities spent 10 years working at Deloitte.
Nick Battisson is Director, Group Financial Control at NATS, the UK’s leading air traffic control provider. He is responsible for the group’s statutory and regulatory reporting and leads the accounting, tax, and transaction processing teams. Nick has held a range of finance roles at NATS across group accounting and commercial finance, bringing broad experience of financial reporting, governance and operational finance. Before joining NATS, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Smith & Williamson, where he trained as an external auditor.
John Earwaker is an economist with 30 years of experience working as an adviser to companies, investors, regulators, and government in the regulated sectors of the economy. He currently works for the economic consultancy First Economics. His expertise comes principally from his involvement in the price reviews that take place in the UK’s aviation, communications, energy, rail and water sectors.
Douglas Ness is Finance Director for SP Energy Networks, with responsibility across the company's electricity transmission and distribution businesses. He is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in financial reporting, regulatory finance, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. He has served as a Trustee of the ScottishPower Pension Scheme and participates in industry forums focused on accounting, reporting and regulatory developments. Prior to joining ScottishPower, he worked in the audit practice of PwC.
The RRA TAG provides the UKEB Board with specialist knowledge and technical advice, in respect of rate-regulated activities.
