UKEB Workshops: Exploring Accounting for Intangibles
Workshop
The UKEB is undertaking a research project on Intangibles, and we are interested to hear from preparers, users, advisors, academics, and policymakers. As value creation increasingly depends on people, innovation, data, and sustainability, traditional accounting models are being challenged.
We are hosting a series of four 60-minute online workshops exploring Accounting for Intangibles through practical case studies covering:
| Case study | Date | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Research and Development (R&D) | Wednesday 27 May | 16:00-17:00 hrs |
| Training costs | Thursday 28 May | 14:00-15:00 hrs |
| Carbon credits | Friday 29 May | 11:00-12:00 hrs |
| Data | Tuesday 2 June | 14:00-15:00 hrs |
To register your interest in attending one of our online workshops, complete the registration form by 22 May 2026.
Each session is exploratory and discussion based, focusing on the economics of intangibles and the challenges they present for recognition, measurement, and disclosure, without aiming to prescribe specific accounting outcomes.
Open to anyone with an interest in how value is created, reported, and communicated. Participants may attend one or more sessions.
