Response 1 - PwC
Paul Lee Chair UK Endorsement Board 6th Floor 10 South Colonnade London E14 4PU
26 January 2026
Dear Paul
Regulatory Strategy 2025/28: Year 2 (draft)
I am responding on behalf of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to your invitation to comment on the Draft Regulatory Strategy 2025/28: Year 2.
We continue to support the UKEB in fulfilling its statutory duties.
We agree with the UKEB's high-level strategic objectives for 2026/7, set out in section 3 of the draft Regulatory Strategy 2025/28: Year 2, which focuses on its statutory functions. We observe that the UKEB successfully balances its two main objectives: influencing and providing thought leadership during the development of IFRS, and assessing international accounting standards for adoption for use in the UK. Our interactions with the UKEB have been positive and we encourage the UKEB to continue its effective way of working.
We also agree that having a UKEB board member on the board of the UK Sustainability Disclosure Technical Advisory Committee and the UKEB Secretariat being a member of the DBT chaired Policy Implementation Committee, is important for understanding the interplay between IFRS Accounting Standards and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards.
If you have any questions regarding this letter please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
Head of UK Corporate Reporting Services PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
