UKEB Financial Instruments Working Group Appointments

We are pleased to announce the appointment of John Kent and Stanislav Varkalov as members of the UKEB’s Financial Instruments Working Group (FIWG).

John Kent is Global Head of Accounting policy at HSBC. His experience with IFRS spans over 20 years with experience in audit and advisory at KPMG UK and structured finance banking at HSBC.

Stanislav Varkalov is a director in the Corporate Solutions team within Capital Markets at Lloyds Bank, where he primarily helps clients to address IFRS, UK and US accounting aspects of their financial risk management and complex financing transactions.

The FIWG, chaired by the UKEB’s Technical Director, Seema Jamil-O’Neill, provides the UKEB Secretariat with technical advice and specialist knowledge, in respect of IASB financial instrument-related projects.
